Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality software for Cisco Network Convergence System products using C/C++, Python, and Linux.
- Own and lead software submodules while contributing to scalable, reliable network-convergence solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve sophisticated technical issues across software components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor other software engineers.
- Adopt modern software development tools and maintain a quality-at-source mindset.
Requirements
- BE, B.Tech, ME, M.Tech, MS, MCA, or similar education.
- At least 7 years of software development experience with a proven track record.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering.
- Strong C/C++ programming and Python scripting skills.
- Experience with version management tools and Agile methodology.
- Accountability, ownership, mentorship, problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: operating-system and networking knowledge, device-driver or BSP exposure, OTN product experience, kernel/user-space/system-space programming, and SONIC development knowledge.
