Base Salary

$145k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and operate scalable and resilient distributed backend services on Kubernetes or ECS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand Tinder’s service platform.
Influence team roadmaps and product development.
Recruit, encourage, and develop other team members.
Continuously improve backend architecture and solve complex engineering problems.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
At least 2 years of industry work experience.
Excellent knowledge of a backend language such as Java, Node.js, Go, or C++.
Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and coding.
Experience designing and building distributed backend systems that handle high traffic volumes.
Ability to manage ambiguous business requirements, prioritize effectively, and execute reliably.
Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Preferred experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or Cassandra.
Preferred experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Spark, TypeScript, Agile development, CI/CD, and Docker containers.
