Responsibilities
- Define and govern Azure data platform architecture across ingestion, streaming, storage, processing, and serving layers for analytics and IoT workloads.
- Own end-to-end Azure cloud architecture for Powertrain enterprise solutions, including security, compliance, scalability, performance, resilience, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
- Lead cloud adoption, migration, modernization, legacy transformation, and cloud-native or microservices architecture initiatives.
- Integrate Azure solutions with customer systems and third-party platforms through secure and scalable hybrid connectivity.
- Collaborate with solution architects, DevOps, security, and technical leads to maintain architectural alignment across products.
- Champion DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Mentor and coach senior engineers and technical team leads while strengthening enterprise cloud architecture practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 15–20 years of IT experience, including 5–6 or more years in Azure Cloud or Solution Architecture.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale Azure solutions across compute, networking, storage, data, and integration.
- Experience with Azure data platform architecture, data governance, data quality, lineage, cataloging, RBAC, encryption, and retention.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services and technologies including IoT Hub, Cosmos DB, Redis, Event Hubs, Service Bus, API Management, Application Gateway, Key Vault, App Configuration, Notification Hubs, SendGrid, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure networking.
- Strong knowledge of large-scale distributed Azure, microservices, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Hands-on development experience with .NET, C#, TypeScript, and Python.
- Deep understanding of Azure security, identity, governance, compliance, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and cloud operations.
- Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills, including experience working with global and distributed teams.
