Responsibilities
- Design and implement mission-critical, multi-region deployment infrastructure on AWS.
- Architect platform deployments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and corporate private-cloud environments.
- Build and maintain high-confidence development, testing, staging, and deployment workflows.
- Establish telemetry, monitoring, and alerting systems for operational observability and high uptime.
- Standardize on-call documentation, incident-response processes, and post-mortems.
- Build self-service tools, automation, and documentation that help engineering teams operate and scale services.
- Optimize cloud costs and resource usage while balancing performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Platform or Production Engineer building, scaling, and operating high-availability production environments on AWS.
- Expertise with Terraform and Docker for infrastructure-as-code and containerization.
- Advanced experience designing cloud monitoring and observability systems, such as Datadog, NewRelic, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Advanced ability to build internal tooling and automation with Python or Rust.
- Ability to define and enforce operational excellence and site-reliability standards.
- Strong cross-functional communication, consensus-building, and technical documentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience with cost optimization and resource management in high-scale cloud environments.
- Bonus: significant operational experience across Azure or GCP.
- Bonus: GPU performance tuning, resource orchestration, and scaling for AI/ML workloads.
- Bonus: experience with real-time, low-latency, conversational speech, or streaming systems.
- Bonus: experience designing self-service developer platforms with usage-based billing, quota management, or tiered access controls.
