Base Salary
$125k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate a highly reliable distributed telemetry platform capable of ingesting, processing, storing, and querying petabyte-scale data
- Collaborate with engineers on architecture, design, and code reviews
- Partner with satellite and rocket teams to understand mission needs and develop technical solutions
- Own the complete software and hardware stack end to end
- Analyze business problems and develop efficient solutions using first-principles thinking
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or another scientific discipline, or at least 2 years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree
- At least 1 year of experience in full stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science
- Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance
- Programming experience in C#, Java, or similar languages
- Experience designing, building, and optimizing large-scale distributed systems for high-volume data processing and querying
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
- Working knowledge of Linux, version control, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring systems
- Ability to meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed
