Responsibilities
- Build tested, maintainable Python APIs, workers, microservices, and other production AI services.
- Implement RAG pipelines covering connectors, parsing, chunking, embeddings, indexing, and retrieval with Azure AI Search and/or Pinecone.
- Create and operate agentic workflows, iterate on prompts and flows, and automate offline and online evaluations.
- Integrate AI capabilities into web applications using REST, GraphQL, and events with validation, rate limiting, and graceful degradation.
- Own CI/CD and containerization, and implement logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts, and production support processes.
- Apply Responsible AI, data protection, access controls, guardrails, red-teaming, and PII handling in code.
- Collaborate with analysts, QA, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to refine requirements, demonstrate work, and incorporate feedback.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on applied AI/LLM engineering experience delivering agentic AI production systems.
- Proficiency in Python and modern engineering practices including testing, linting, typing, packaging, and CI.
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry, GCP Vertex, and AWS Bedrock.
- Hands-on experience with vector databases and search algorithms.
- Experience with containers, CI/CD, AI observability, logs, metrics, traces, and production support.
- Experience developing multi-agent systems using MCP and A2A technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cursor, Claudecode, and GitHub Copilot for agentic AI development.
- Experience with AI observability platforms such as Datadog and Langsmith.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with analysts, QA, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Preferred experience includes Neo4j and Cypher, training or leveraging NLP models, fine-tuning LLMs and VLMs, and LLM evaluation frameworks such as DeepEval and RAGAs.
