Base Salary
$131k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop clean, well-tested, scalable security platform services in Go, Scala, or Python.
- Collaborate on system design and architecture decisions with senior engineers.
- Identify attack surfaces and build solutions for product hardening.
- Triage, debug, and resolve product and system issues with clear ownership.
- Review code and design documents for security concerns before release.
- Extend security review practices to AI-powered features and agents.
- Contribute to secure coding guidelines and promote them across engineering.
- Partner with Product Management, UI/UX, documentation, InfoSec, and support to deliver security features.
- Participate in planning, design reviews, knowledge sharing, and security-focused learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–2 years of software development experience; internships, personal projects, and bootcamps count.
- Strong fundamentals in at least one programming language such as Go, Java, Python, or C++, plus data structures, algorithms, and testing.
- Genuine interest in security and understanding how systems can be compromised.
- Preferred: coursework, projects, or internships in cybersecurity, cryptography, or systems security.
- Preferred: familiarity with Linux/Unix, Git, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS.
- Preferred: exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with AI coding assistants or agentic development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot.
- Preferred: interest in open-source security tooling and the broader security community.
