Base Salary
$75k - $75k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write custom code, configure software, build integrations, and design, develop, maintain, and enhance student information systems.
- Test code, establish test procedures, debug programs, and evaluate the readiness of changes.
- Deploy new technologies and applications, review other programs and systems, and provide technical feedback.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and communicate technical information, project timelines, setbacks, and status reports.
- Analyze business needs and system interdependencies, recommend technical solutions, and collaborate with OnRamps staff, stakeholders, and campus IT teams.
- Manage competing priorities, share knowledge with colleagues, and pursue relevant training and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in systems design, analysis, and programming in a university environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, test, and debug complex code and successfully deliver projects within prioritized time frames.
- Experience with Python, MySQL, HTML, CSS, version control systems, and web frameworks.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, written communication, collaboration, organization, initiative, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: more than three years of university-environment systems design, analysis, and programming experience.
- Preferred: experience with student information systems, Canvas LMS, institutional SIS data sources, PHP, Natural, Python, JavaScript, Django, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Preferred: creative problem-solving, technical documentation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
