Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and resolve complex production and pre-production issues in payment systems.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions for production incidents.
- Develop secure, scalable fixes and new features in the Java codebase.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
- Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Support deployments, releases, CI/CD improvements, and scheduled on-call rotations.
- Write unit, integration, and performance tests and contribute to architecture discussions on scalability and fault tolerance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience debugging and troubleshooting complex financial or payment systems.
- Strong Java backend programming skills, including Java SE and Java EE.
- Experience with Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, microservices, relational databases, and SQL optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as ELK, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations and handle high-pressure production issues.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Front-end experience with JavaScript, Angular, or React is advantageous.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is a nice-to-have qualification.
