Responsibilities
- Act as a technical leader in building enterprise-grade, scalable, and performant systems.
- Design and implement large, complex product features and architectural improvements.
- Propose solutions to complex design problems and identify engineering improvements.
- Work with product architects and the engineering team to address product improvements.
- Technically guide junior engineers through feature design and review their designs and implementations.
- Generate detailed development specifications using GenAI.
- Independently handle complex escalations and guide others.
- Design, implement, and maintain team-owned backend server-side software modules.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a product company.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Go, Python, C++, or Java on Unix/Linux or Windows.
- Strong programming skills in data structures, algorithms, and design concepts.
- Strong experience with service-oriented architecture and microservices.
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI-based development, extensive prompting, and preferably spec-based development using Cursor or Gemini.
- Experience with third-party API integrations at scale is preferred.
- Knowledge of SaaS or backup domains is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
- B.Tech, B.E., M.E., or M.Tech in Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
