Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain high-performance, resilient Go and Python microservices for Druva’s SaaS platform.
- Design secure, backward-compatible RESTful and gRPC APIs for internal teams and enterprise customers.
- Write technical design documents evaluating latency, consistency, scalability, and cost trade-offs.
- Optimize queries, caching strategies, and data models across PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.
- Establish telemetry, metrics, traces, logs, and SLOs while participating in on-call incident response.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement permanent mitigations for production failures.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Quality Engineers to translate requirements into engineering milestones.
- Perform code reviews, maintain automated test coverage above 85%, and champion engineering best practices.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of hands-on software product development experience building high-scale distributed systems and SaaS backends.
- Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python, including concurrency, memory management, and data structures.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining microservices and REST/gRPC APIs in high-throughput, multi-tenant environments.
- Deep experience with AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong expertise with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, or EventBridge.
- Production ownership experience involving telemetry, instrumentation, SLI/SLO monitoring, on-call support, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with automated unit and integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, and peer code reviews.
- Experience with multi-tenant platform primitives such as tenant isolation, rate limiting, quota management, and schema migrations is desirable.
- Domain knowledge in data protection, backup/recovery, storage, virtualization, or cyber resilience is desirable.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC, RBAC/ABAC, or mTLS is desirable.
- Exposure to AI/LLM integration patterns and experience in high-growth SaaS environments are desirable.
- B.Tech, B.E., M.E., or M.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
