Responsibilities

  • Configure, customize, and build embedded Linux distributions using the Yocto Project.
  • Develop Yocto layers and recipes for project development.
  • Integrate third-party libraries, tools, and drivers into custom Linux distributions.
  • Triage build failures and provide solutions and guidance to users.
  • Collaborate with CI and build implementation teams on major failures and findings.
  • Troubleshoot build issues and optimize build times.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize workflows and ensure seamless integration.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of experience with GitLab CI/CD and build or integration engineering.
  • Strong experience with the Yocto Project, including writing recipes and layers and customizing images in a continuous integration environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in C programming and Linux.
  • Experience with Git and build automation tools.
  • Familiarity with menuconfig, make, and kernel patches.
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory and GitLab CI.
  • Knowledge of automotive infotainment system architecture and components.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Android architecture and build systems is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of the Bazel build system is a bonus.
