Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build on-demand isolated testing environments that mirror the production application stack.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and deployment automation.
- Develop infrastructure for integration, correctness, load, and performance testing.
- Create realistic data-generation and user-behavior simulation tooling.
- Enable AI coding agents to execute tests, debug, and validate code changes autonomously.
- Partner with engineering teams to remove development bottlenecks and improve engineering velocity and software quality.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in developer infrastructure, test infrastructure, platform engineering, or developer tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, build systems, and deploying applications to AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience building or automating developer infrastructure, deployment systems, or testing environments with attention to scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure provisioning and deployments.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Go or Python.
- Ability to balance infrastructure performance, environment fidelity, reliability, and cost.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience building developer-focused productivity tools.
- Preferred experience includes ephemeral testing environments, load or performance testing, distributed test execution, Playwright or Cypress, sandboxed execution environments, AI coding-agent infrastructure, and developer infrastructure at a fast-scaling technology or cloud company.
Benefits
- Salary range is $180,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.
- Hybrid collaboration in Marina Del Rey, California, with in-person work on Mondays and Thursdays and a full in-person week every two months.
- Candidates may relocate to Los Angeles or work from the San Francisco office for the right opportunity.
- U.S. person status is required for ITAR/EAR compliance.
