Base Salary
$120k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the LiveKit Rust SDK and shared Rust core modules for its multi-platform client ecosystem.
- Mentor engineers with less Rust experience and promote high-quality, maintainable, and testable Rust code.
- Collaborate with client SDK, agents, cloud, and product management teams on integration and developer experience.
- Own testing, CI/CD, and release processes for Rust projects.
- Profile and optimize performance in real-time, low-latency systems.
- Contribute to SDK architecture and long-term technical direction for Rust and cross-platform SDK interoperability.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Rust and experience delivering production-quality libraries or SDKs.
- Familiarity with common Rust ecosystem crates, including Tokio and Criterion.
- Experience developing SDKs or libraries for multi-platform clients such as mobile, web, or embedded platforms.
- Understanding of testing, CI/CD, and release best practices in modern Rust ecosystems.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate across multiple teams and platforms.
- Experience with real-time systems, networking, performance optimization, WebRTC, or related technologies is a bonus.
- Experience with LiveKit technologies is a bonus.
