Responsibilities
- Maintain distributed platform stability across Kubernetes and cloud providers including GCP and AWS.
- Manage Kubernetes workloads, GitOps deployments, application rollouts, and cluster troubleshooting with ArgoCD.
- Operate CDN and edge infrastructure using Cloudflare and automate infrastructure lifecycle workflows.
- Own observability with Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, New Relic, monitoring, alerting, and distributed tracing.
- Participate in PagerDuty on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Support AI-agent infrastructure for job scheduling, trajectory tracking, environment provisioning, deployments, and cost attribution.
- Develop Kubernetes controllers and operators for agent orchestration.
- Build internal tools and automate workflows to improve team productivity and platform scalability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software or platform engineering experience with production systems.
- Production proficiency in Go or Python, with daily use of at least one.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying services on Kubernetes, beyond writing YAML.
- Experience with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Strong networking and DNS fundamentals, including TCP/IP, HTTP, load balancing, DNS resolution, and TLS.
- Solid Linux and operating-system fundamentals, including process management, filesystems, memory, systemd, strace, tcpdump, and netstat.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis, caching systems, message queues, streaming systems, and SQL.
- Comfort with CNCF ecosystem tools and interfaces including Helm, Kustomize, cert-manager, Ingress controllers, and CNI/CSI.
- Hands-on experience with observability stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, New Relic, or Datadog.
- Familiarity with GCP or AWS, managed Kubernetes, networking, IAM, storage, cloud-native services, and CDN or edge platforms.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes Operators, Kubernetes core-component tuning, AI/LLM infrastructure, CI/CD, infrastructure as code with Terraform or Pulumi, large-scale distributed systems, platform-as-a-service, or startup environments.
