Staff Engineer, iOS
AlphaSenseResponsibilities
- Own iOS app architecture, modular boundaries, and native engineering patterns as the product scales.
- Lead hands-on system design using Swift, SwiftUI, and Swift concurrency.
- Improve mobile reliability and execution through testing, automation, observability, rollout practices, and AI-enabled validation.
- Align mobile, Android, and backend teams on API behavior, failure modes, authentication, session flows, performance, and ownership boundaries.
- Mentor mobile and adjacent technical teams, share knowledge, shape technical culture, and raise engineering standards.
Requirements
- Deep production expertise in iOS platform architecture, modular design, performance, security, reliability, SwiftUI, and modern Swift concurrency.
- Ability to reason across iOS, Android, backend API behavior, authentication and session flows, release risks, and client/backend service contracts.
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows, AI harnesses, evaluation practices, or AI-driven testing systems.
- Experience with testing strategy, automation, observability, CI/CD, and production mobile quality practices.
- Track record of leading significant technical initiatives, setting engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and raising technical standards across teams.
- Strong product judgment and communication skills, including experience with RFCs, ADRs, technical plans, or decision records.
- Preferred experience with iPadOS, macOS, or multi-platform Apple products.
- Preferred experience with enterprise mobile applications, MDM/MAM, or regulated customer environments.
- Preferred experience building or adopting production mobile design systems.
- Preferred experience contributing to backend services or APIs using Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python.
