Base Salary
$116k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, test, and maintain software components for cadence-managed and event-managed program deliverables.
- Lead or perform software integration, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and performance tuning.
- Apply secure coding practices consistent with DevSecOps and DoD/NIST cybersecurity requirements.
- Manage source code, branches, baselines, and releases using version control and configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with systems engineering and test teams to implement features, address findings, and validate changes.
- Document software releases, including change descriptions, test results, known issues, and deployment notes.
- Support process improvement, automation, and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Coordinate software changes supporting urgent and emergency depot-level maintenance with the EDLM/UDLM Manager.
- For DevSecOps roles, lead pipeline design and improvements and integrate security checks into CI/CD workflows.
- For Scrum Master roles, facilitate agile ceremonies, remove impediments, coordinate with Product Owners and Project Managers, track delivery metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
- For CMD Manager roles, coordinate command-and-control-related software activities, schedules, resources, risks, issues, and status reporting.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of software development experience with increasing responsibility and leadership, preferably in secure or mission-critical DoD or defense environments.
- Strong experience with software design, development, modification, testing, and maintenance using modern languages and frameworks.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software integration, troubleshooting, and secure coding practices.
- Experience documenting software releases and contributing to incident and maintenance reporting.
- Experience with ELMS, RTC, Jira, Confluence, ClearCase, ClearQuest, SQL, or related database tools.
- Active Secret Clearance and TS/SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent DoD/military training and experience.
- CSSLP or GSEC certification is desired or strongly preferred.
