Responsibilities
- Build integrations between BioRender and emerging AI tools and platforms, including evolving MCP-based workflows.
- Own and evolve enterprise platform capabilities across identity, authorization, provisioning, and integrations.
- Experiment with AI and agentic capabilities and strengthen them for secure, robust, and scalable enterprise use.
- Lead complex technical initiatives from architecture through implementation, launch, and ongoing iteration.
- Design and build scalable full-stack solutions with emphasis on backend systems, APIs, security, reliability, and performance.
- Lead technical reviews, mentor engineers, and improve architecture and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership of complex technical initiatives and architectural decisions.
- Significant experience building scalable systems, APIs, and platform capabilities with strong backend depth.
- Experience owning ambiguous problems through system design, implementation, production launch, and iteration.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered products, agentic workflows, MCP integrations, or similar AI-enabled systems.
- Ability to balance architectural investments, delivery speed, customer needs, and measurable product impact.
- Clear communication skills and experience collaborating across engineering, product, and design.
- Preferred experience with enterprise SaaS in an early-stage or high-growth environment.
- Preferred experience with identity and access management, including OAuth/OIDC, SSO, SCIM, or role-based authorization.
- Preferred experience designing APIs and third-party integrations within enterprise ecosystems.
- Preferred experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform.
