Base Salary
$150k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate business problems into AI-driven solutions with product managers and stakeholders.
- Design, implement, and integrate AI features into existing 8am products.
- Partner with the Data team to collect, enrich, prepare, and stage data for AI use.
- Build and evaluate AI-powered services from customer-facing prototypes through general availability.
- Write high-quality Python code for data manipulation, large language model interactions, and performance assessment.
- Develop infrastructure and tools for reliable, scalable, and secure AI deployment.
- Collaborate with cloud operations to deploy AI features, monitor their impact, and continuously improve them.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in full-stack SaaS application development or backend engineering.
- Proven experience building and deploying production-ready AI/ML services at scale.
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks, platforms, evaluations, and related tooling.
- Strong Python or equivalent modern technology-stack development skills.
- Familiarity with data manipulation and evaluation workflows.
- Experience building scalable data infrastructure and integrating models into broader SaaS systems.
- Experience with AWS cloud environments or an equivalent cloud environment and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience using AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.
