Responsibilities
- Plan, analyze, design, document, and construct enterprise-wide information systems.
- Lead systems development activities including requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, programming oversight, and documentation.
- Design and build Appian applications, process models, interfaces, rules, data types, integrations, prototypes, and reusable enterprise components.
- Integrate AI APIs and cloud AI services such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock into Appian and enterprise architectures.
- Optimize prompts, model selection, context-window usage, and token consumption for AI-enabled solutions.
- Perform process and data modeling, reverse engineering, re-engineering, and legacy-to-target migration planning.
- Ensure Appian, information systems, and AI components align with enterprise architecture, security, governance, and responsible AI requirements.
- Provide daily supervision, mentorship, technical guidance, and direction to technical staff.
- Prepare written materials and presentations for technical, non-technical, and senior audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in information systems development, requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, programming, program design, and documentation.
- Progressive experience managing information engineering projects and working in client/server or distributed computing environments.
- Significant hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying Appian applications, workflows, interfaces, and integrations.
- Managerial and leadership experience directing and overseeing technical teams.
- Experience integrating Appian with REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
