Base Salary
$105k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and delivery of enterprise AI Data Platform transformation programs.
- Design scalable data consolidation, integration, transformation, governance, Lakehouse, streaming, and real-time analytics architectures.
- Lead migrations from Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and on-premises platforms, including workload assessment, code refactoring, Spark optimization, and modernization.
- Serve as an executive technical advisor to CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, chief architects, and engineering leaders.
- Configure, tune, troubleshoot, and optimize Apache Spark, including cluster sizing, partitioning, memory optimization, and adaptive query execution.
- Build reusable migration accelerators, reference architectures, automation frameworks, and delivery methodologies.
- Develop AI/ML and Generative AI data preparation pipelines, feature engineering workflows, vector-ready datasets, and governed data products.
- Partner with Oracle Product Management and Engineering to influence product direction.
- Own technical strategy for strategic customer programs and establish reusable engineering standards.
- Mentor senior engineers, architects, and globally distributed delivery teams.
- Represent Oracle at executive briefings, architecture reviews, conferences, and customer innovation workshops.
Requirements
- 10–12+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise data platforms.
- Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Principal Solution Architect, Consulting Engineer, or Professional Services technical leader.
- Expertise in Oracle AI Data Platform or equivalent modern cloud data platforms.
- Extensive experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Azure, AWS, Kafka, Python, SQL, and Scala or Java.
- Deep expertise in Spark architecture, configuration, optimization, tuning, distributed systems, and large-scale performance engineering.
- Demonstrated success migrating enterprise analytics platforms and refactoring Spark or ETL workloads.
- Strong understanding of DataOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, governance, metadata, lineage, and observability.
- Outstanding executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience with OCI Architect, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or AI certifications.
- Preferred experience with LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, vector databases, AI agents, and MLOps.
- Preferred experience leading multi-petabyte modernization programs and globally distributed delivery teams.
- Industry experience in Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, or Retail is preferred.
