Base Salary
$150k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable, production-grade services for Maven’s agentic AI platform.
- Work with cross-functional partners to define requirements and translate them into maintainable technical solutions.
- Lead or support high-impact platform initiatives and help drive the technical roadmap.
- Build well-structured, testable, resilient backend services for production environments.
- Set technical direction, make architecture decisions, and influence engineering best practices.
- Mentor engineers, provide feedback, and improve the quality of the team’s technical work.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-quality systems.
- Backend development experience with TypeScript/Node and Java.
- Experience setting technical direction, making architecture decisions, and influencing engineering practices.
- Spring Boot experience is highly desirable.
- Relevant telephony experience, such as SIP, Twilio, voice routing, call flow orchestration, messaging pipelines, or telephony integrations, or the ability to learn this domain quickly.
- Clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to articulate technical tradeoffs.
- Familiarity with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, or agentic systems is a plus.
- Must be based in Boston, Massachusetts, or San Francisco, California, and able to work from a company office on a hybrid basis.
