Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend and full-stack Java features using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and databases.
- Modernize legacy and monolithic Java applications into modular, cloud-ready architectures.
- Design backend services, data models, RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration logic.
- Support Angular and React frontend teams with robust backend APIs.
- Implement high-performance data processing and integration logic for analytical workflows.
- Apply object-oriented design, design patterns, layered or hexagonal architecture, and technical trade-off analysis.
- Perform unit testing, mocking, static code analysis, performance profiling, memory analysis, and JVM tuning.
- Support production performance, stability, deployment, maintenance, and release quality.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, architecture, UI, and global development teams in Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers.
Requirements
- MCA or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Java-based software development on global or enterprise projects.
- Strong experience with software design patterns, layered architectures, performance optimization, object-oriented design, and clean coding practices.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Knowledge of performance profiling, memory analysis, microservices, service communication, and integration patterns.
- Working knowledge of Hibernate/JPA and transaction management.
- Experience with product development environments and product development lifecycle practices.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud-native development, Azure Service Bus or similar messaging systems, Azure DevOps, Docker, cloud platforms, Maven, or Gradle.
- Understanding of Lean Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience with Scaled Agile, Kanban, and Zero-Defect Development.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, learning mindset, and continuous improvement orientation.
- Experience with shipping/logistics workflows or scientific data processing, such as genomics or laboratory systems, is a plus.
