Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable production software solutions.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify patterns and improve coding hygiene, system architecture, and application quality.
- Create and maintain TDD/BDD test cases and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools responsibly for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Support application resiliency, operational stability, secure coding, and continuous improvement within an agile software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Formal training and certification in software engineering and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Hands-on coding experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design.
- Proficiency with JUnit, TestNG, and Cucumber.
- Preferred: familiarity with front-end technologies, cloud technologies, full-stack development, AWS services, Terraform, GitHub Copilot, Cline, and Claude Code.
- Strong communication and leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
