Responsibilities
- Design and develop modular, maintainable AI systems, APIs, libraries, and services aligned with infrastructure platform standards.
- Partner with Applied AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and engineering teams to build secure AI solutions.
- Write, review, debug, and maintain high-quality production code in secure, regulated enterprise environments.
- Evaluate AI solution approaches and influence architecture, code quality, scalability, resiliency, and operational outcomes.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices, validation standards, reusable patterns, and firmwide AI-enabled SDLC practices.
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, quality standards, and operational-readiness decisions while mentoring engineers.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on software development experience delivering production services in secure, regulated environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical discussions and providing technical direction across a team or program.
- Significant experience with at least one modern programming language, including Java or Python.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
- Strong understanding of LLM-backed AI architectures, API design, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience building and operating cloud-native services on AWS, including Bedrock.
- Experience with containerization, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices such as Docker, ECS/EKS, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
- Strong prompt engineering skills involving system prompts, few-shot prompting, tool or function calling, and structured outputs such as JSON schemas.
- Experience driving enterprise adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Financial Services industry experience is preferred.
