Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, resilient, secure full-stack applications.
- Own and influence end-to-end architecture, technical direction, system boundaries, API contracts, data models, and non-functional requirements.
- Lead development of complex front-end and back-end solutions with strong performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Design and deliver backend services and RESTful APIs, including authentication, authorization, integrations, versioning, compatibility, and error handling.
- Partner with Product, UX, Data & Analytics, DevOps/SRE, and technology stakeholders to translate business objectives into technical solutions.
- Establish engineering standards, development methodologies, code quality, testing, security, accessibility, and operational best practices.
- Mentor engineers, provide architectural guidance, conduct design and code reviews, and lead technical discussions.
- Drive modernization, performance, reliability, observability, production operations, and continuous engineering improvement.
Requirements
- Hands-on full-stack enterprise software engineering experience using Java/Spring Boot or Python/Django and modern front-end technologies such as Angular, React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Strong software architecture and system design experience covering scalability, availability, performance, resilience, and security.
- Experience designing and delivering backend services and RESTful APIs with authentication, authorization, data access, third-party integrations, API versioning, backward compatibility, and error handling.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, and cloud-native application deployment using AWS or Azure.
- Experience with automated testing, code quality, observability, performance optimization, secure coding, and production readiness.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience, including influencing architecture, establishing standards, coaching engineers, and communicating technical trade-offs.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and improving mean time to recovery is desirable.
- Knowledge of threat-aware development, dependency management, secrets management, input validation, enterprise security standards, accessibility, responsive design, and WCAG 2.1 is desirable.
- Experience modernizing large-scale enterprise platforms and influencing technology roadmaps is desirable.
