Base Salary
$158k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize secure, scalable systems using queueing architectures, SQL databases, and NoSQL storage.
- Lead medium to large platform initiatives and drive architecture and feature development for the Developer and Extend platform.
- Build and maintain secure backend services, custom APIs, and AI agents using JavaScript or other object-oriented languages.
- Develop feedback loops for AI agents and collaborate with customers, internal teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
- Manage incident response activities and participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
- Use automated unit testing, code reviews, version control, and other software development practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience focused on cloud platforms and large-scale systems.
- Experience with Azure services, queueing systems, SQL databases such as Azure SQL Database and SQL Server, and NoSQL solutions such as CosmosDB.
- Experience with Node.js, C#, Java, C++, or Go.
- Experience building AI agents, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools such as LLMs for coding assistance and code generation.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, microservices architecture, and APIs at scale.
- Experience applying object-oriented methodologies and design patterns.
- Preferred experience includes high-scale and highly available systems, complex scalable applications, Node.js technology stacks, multiple databases, Microsoft Azure or AWS, and high-performance reusable components.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and ability to learn new technologies and tools.

- California base salary range of $164,700.00–$266,000.00 and Washington base salary range of $158,300.00–$232,575.00.
