Responsibilities
- Build mongosync, a database migration and synchronization tool for MongoDB clusters.
- Develop MongoDB Database Tools, including CLI utilities for importing, exporting, and diagnosing deployments.
- Collaborate with product, support, and engineering teams to build customer-focused features.
- Review designs and code, lead feature development, and mentor team members.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of high-performance distributed services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining industrial-strength software.
- Experience building databases or core components for data-processing systems.
- Experience with distributed systems, including data replication, distributed transactions, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with at least one compiled language and interest in working with Go.
- Strong verbal and written technical communication skills, collaboration skills, and interest in mentoring junior engineers.
- Curiosity and ability to quickly learn new computer science and software engineering concepts.
