Base Salary
$200k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate secure, reliable, scalable enterprise platform systems.
- Contribute to APIs that make Synthesia’s Avatar technology available to external creative tools.
- Own multi-month projects spanning multiple teams and break ambiguous problems into iterative deliverables.
- Translate business, security, regulatory, and compliance requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Use observability, monitoring, system health metrics, and reliability practices to evaluate and improve production systems.
- Partner with product, security, legal, and infrastructure teams and drive technical initiatives end to end.
- Contribute to product discussions with user and business considerations in mind.
- Lead projects and mentor engineers when appropriate.
Requirements
- At least seven years of software engineering experience, including experience operating at a senior or staff level.
- Experience building and operating systems at scale, ideally on platform or enterprise-focused teams.
- Strong development and system-design expertise; experience across the stack is a plus.
- Experience with enterprise-grade systems, including areas such as security, compliance, data handling, access control, multi-tenant systems, or platform services.
- Experience owning production systems, including observability, incident response, and reliability improvements.
- Ability to work across teams and functions, align stakeholders, and drive technical initiatives end to end.
- Strong alignment with building reliable, scalable systems supporting long-term product and business goals.
- Previous project leadership or engineering mentorship experience is a plus.
