Responsibilities
- Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a microservice architecture.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain systems representing logistics entities including shippers, clients, cargo, documents, carriers, containers, and email.
- Own the design and development of key parts of forwarding systems and influence subsystem design.
- Collaborate with engineers to solve complex business and technical problems.
- Build and launch products rapidly and incrementally, with frequent production releases.
- Maintain a high quality bar by monitoring metrics and applying post-mortem learnings across services.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience writing software and a strong engineering background.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Ruby, C, C++, Java, or Kotlin.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operations.
- Ability and willingness to learn quickly; experience with simple, well-tested, maintainable code is preferred.
