Base Salary
$107k - $284k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of modern, scalable software solutions for clinical and patient-facing technology.
- Design and build backend services, APIs, and distributed systems in cloud environments.
- Set technical direction, lead engineering discussions and design reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Drive initiatives from concept to delivery, identify technical risks, remove ambiguity, and align stakeholders.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated test frameworks, and observability solutions.
- Collaborate with product, design, architecture, and clinical partners to improve patient care and empower clinical staff.
- Evaluate modern technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and automation to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality, performance, and reliability.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or mentoring role.
- Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, or distributed systems in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, system design, and engineering best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, C#, or TypeScript.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated test frameworks, and observability solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Preferred experience includes healthcare, clinical systems, regulated enterprise applications, microservices, event-driven patterns, domain-driven design, FHIR, HL7, React, Angular, mobile development, and AI-powered developer tooling.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, initiative, and continuous-learning skills.
