Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and Data Science to gather requirements and deliver infrastructure, tools, and member-facing features.
- Use Java, Kafka, AWS, and PostgreSQL to build scalable and reliable software solutions.
- Develop and maintain high-quality backend code following software design and development best practices.
- Build observability and monitoring systems to support the stability and reliability of deployed features.
- Develop generative-AI capabilities and personalized health insights for WHOOP members.
Requirements
- Require 2–4 years of backend software development experience, ideally with Java.
- Require familiarity with asynchronous processing systems such as Kafka and SQS.
- Require backend development experience with large-scale software systems and RESTful API design.
- Require experience with relational database design and development using PostgreSQL.
- Require experience with scalable system design and performance optimization.
- Seek strong independent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills.
