Base Salary
$156k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services for high-volume telemetry data.
- Develop ingestion, storage, indexing, and querying systems for time-series and event data.
- Improve the performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency of distributed systems.
- Collaborate with frontend teams to design efficient APIs and contribute to data-modeling strategies.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
- Mentor engineers and help raise engineering standards.
- Own projects independently from inception through delivery and collaborate with technical teammates and customers.
Requirements
- Strong experience with one or more backend languages such as Go, Java, Python, or Rust.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Cursor or Claude in day-to-day software development.
- Experience building and operating highly available systems in production.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience designing APIs using REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.
- Strong ownership, independent project leadership, and collaborative working skills.
