Responsibilities
- Develop and validate embedded software features for optical transport and switching network solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and document advanced networking capabilities deployed in service provider networks.
- Troubleshoot embedded software issues by identifying root causes, diagnosing defects, debugging, and delivering fixes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on next-generation modem technologies.
- Build knowledge of optical networking, datacom, telecom, and low-level software development.
Requirements
- Be actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Have experience with C or C++ programming.
- Have knowledge of embedded systems, device drivers, Linux or RTOS operating systems, mutual exclusion, synchronization, interrupt handling, inter-process communication, and memory management.
- Demonstrate motivation, independent learning ability, strong verbal and technical writing skills, and effective teamwork.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with DWDM, OTN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, low-level real-time firmware development, hardware bring-up, CPU architectures, and hardware timing diagrams.
- Preferred tools and technologies include Linux development, Git, Eclipse, JIRA, Confluence, GDB, Yocto, YANG, Python, Go, and Bash.
