Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain terminal-based applications and user interfaces using Java and Angular.
- Collaborate with a distributed team of engineers in a team-oriented development environment.
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards, quality guidelines, and development best practices.
- Work within established architectural patterns and design frameworks and adopt team conventions.
- Contribute to improvements in lottery retail and player-facing solutions.
- Use modern development tools and practices to deliver high-quality, scalable software.
Requirements
- Experience with Java and Angular using updated versions.
- Ability to work in a distributed engineering group and follow processes involving linters and code reviews.
- Team development skills and ability to adapt to architects’ design decisions.
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- Preferred experience with Protocol Buffers and other data serialization mechanisms.
- Preferred experience with Jakarta EE, particularly CDI/Weld.
- Preferred experience with asynchronous programming, including Java CompletableFuture and TypeScript/RxJS Observables.
- Preferred experience developing software for POS terminals or other retail transaction systems.
- Preferred experience working on distributed development teams.
