Responsibilities
- Design and develop Spring Boot microservices for casino bonuses, promotions, game launches, and game catalog management.
- Implement promotional mechanics including bonus crediting, wagering logic, expiry, and settlement with real-money correctness guarantees.
- Integrate third-party game providers, game launches, wallet callbacks, and provider-side bonus features.
- Build and evolve REST APIs with request signing, authentication, and API versioning.
- Ensure reliability of transaction and bonus flows through idempotency, consistency, retries, timeouts, caching, and graceful degradation.
- Use Redis for caching and session state and tune service performance under production load.
- Own observability through metrics, dashboards, structured logging, and alerting.
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests and ship services through GitLab CI to Kubernetes.
- Participate in code reviews and incident investigations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend experience.
- Strong commercial proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x, including Web, Security, Data, and Actuator.
- Experience building business-critical domain logic such as payments, bonuses, billing, or similar money-adjacent flows.
- Experience integrating third-party REST APIs and designing APIs.
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts including idempotency, consistency, timeouts, retries, and caching.
- Experience with SQL and at least one NoSQL store such as Redis, Cassandra, or Elasticsearch.
- Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency.
- Scala experience, including Scala, Play, or Akka, is preferred.
- Kafka and event-driven architecture experience is preferred.
- Kubernetes, GitLab CI, Prometheus, and Grafana familiarity is preferred.
- iGaming or betting domain experience is preferred.
