Responsibilities
- Define enterprise application architecture standards, principles, reference architectures, reusable design patterns, and modernization strategies.
- Lead architecture for custom applications, Azure cloud-native solutions, enterprise integration initiatives, and application modernization programs.
- Design and govern solutions using Azure PaaS, Azure AI platforms, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, APIs, messaging, event-driven architectures, and hybrid integration models.
- Establish AI architecture standards and governance for Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AI Services, AI Agents, RAG, intelligent search, vector databases, and enterprise knowledge platforms.
- Lead architecture review boards, governance reviews, technical assessments, proof-of-concepts, technology evaluations, vendor assessments, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure alignment with security, privacy, compliance, software quality, Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, software supply chain, and operational support requirements.
- Support technology roadmaps, major architecture decisions, complex production escalations, and enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Mentor architects, engineers, and development teams and influence technical strategy across globally distributed teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field is required; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 9+ years of overall information technology experience.
- 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, application architecture, cloud architecture, AI architecture, or enterprise architecture roles.
- 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure architecture experience.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale custom applications, modernization initiatives, architecture standards, governance frameworks, and technology roadmaps.
- Deep expertise with .NET, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, Web APIs, and cloud-native application architectures.
- Experience designing Azure PaaS, enterprise integration, API management, event-driven, secure, and scalable solutions.
- Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, AI Agents, RAG architectures, intelligent search, and intelligent application platforms.
- Experience with Azure services, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, enterprise integration architecture, DevOps, DevSecOps, software quality governance, and software supply chain risk management.
- Knowledge of secure application architecture, governance, compliance, enterprise security principles, and globally distributed team collaboration.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical mentoring capabilities.
- Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, TOGAF certification, experience with SonarQube, Sonatype Nexus Lifecycle/IQ, GitHub Advanced Security, SAST, DAST, secure CI/CD, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
