Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead development and begin architecting scalable distributed-system components for OCI virtual networking control-plane services.
- Optimize systems for large-scale data processing, high throughput, elasticity, and cloud-scale performance.
- Design fault-tolerant, durable, highly available systems with replication, failover, throttling, rate limiting, and network-partition handling.
- Define KPIs and build dashboards, telemetry, alerting, performance tests, load tests, and complex correctness scenarios.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues, participate in support rotations and incident response, and mentor others in troubleshooting.
- Implement security controls, encryption, access controls, compliance remediation, and cloud-infrastructure automation.
- Create and follow change-management plans for patching, updates, rollbacks, and automated operations.
Requirements
- Experience leading development and beginning architecture of scalable distributed systems.
- Ability to design systems for scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, availability, durability, consistency, and performance.
- Experience with monitoring, telemetry, dashboards, alerting, performance testing, load testing, and operational troubleshooting.
- Ability to implement security measures, address security gaps, and maintain compliance in multi-tenant cloud environments.
- Experience developing automation scripts and tools for cloud infrastructure and supporting change-management processes.
- Ability to participate in incident response and operational support rotations and mentor other engineers.
