Responsibilities
- Lead solution and feature design for Dynamics 365 Commerce across e-commerce, POS, and Commerce Scale Unit environments.
- Translate retail and digital commerce processes into technical and functional specifications and guide architecture and code reviews.
- Architect and deliver omnichannel Commerce extensions and integrations with ERP, payment, tax, loyalty, inventory, OMS, and CRM systems.
- Design and implement integrations using Commerce APIs, Dataverse, Power Platform, and Azure integration services.
- Drive release prioritization, dependency alignment, PI planning, backlog refinement, milestones, risk mitigation, and delivery tracking.
- Lead production incident response, on-call procedures, root-cause analysis, and operational readiness for commerce systems.
- Establish coding standards, automated testing, performance baselines, secure development practices, and release quality controls.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for POS, Commerce Scale Unit, and e-commerce assets.
- Coach and mentor senior engineers and functional consultants on Commerce architecture, extensions, troubleshooting, and integrations.
Requirements
- Advanced hands-on expertise delivering end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce omnichannel implementations.
- Strong experience with Modern POS and Commerce Runtime extension patterns, packaging, and deployment.
- Deep knowledge of channel databases, Commerce Scale Unit architecture, configuration, synchronization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Commerce APIs, CRT/CSU, OData, REST, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD, and managed identities.
- Ability to design highly available, high-performance, secure, and maintainable commerce solutions.
- Experience with Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Functions is preferred.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Power BI, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Application Insights, and Log Analytics is preferred.
- Knowledge of e-commerce architecture, headless or composable patterns, SEO, caching, CDN, payment processing, tokenization, and PII handling is preferred.
- Experience with Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, production readiness, SRE practices, and high-traffic commerce operations is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Builder, generative AI, prompt engineering, guardrails, RAG, and agent testing is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent education and experience, with at least 7.5 years of experience stated in the project requirements and 10–12+ years stated in the detailed qualifications.
