Responsibilities
- Advise senior executives and technology leadership on enterprise architecture, modernization, innovation, and emerging technology adoption.
- Lead architecture strategy, target-state planning, and modernization roadmaps for commercial lending platforms across the lending lifecycle.
- Drive cloud transformation, platform modernization, application rationalization, API-first strategies, event-driven architectures, and resiliency engineering.
- Define architecture standards, design patterns, reference architectures, governance models, and technology frameworks.
- Align technology investments, roadmaps, total cost of ownership, operational efficiency, and return on investment with business strategy.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, security, risk, operations, and enterprise stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, resilient solutions.
- Define AI and Generative AI architecture patterns, governance controls, Responsible AI practices, model governance, and enterprise integration approaches.
- Mentor and develop architects and engineering leaders and influence internal and vendor technology roadmaps.
Requirements
- 10+ years of architecture experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Extensive experience defining target-state architectures, modernization roadmaps, and enterprise technology strategies.
- Deep expertise designing and delivering highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems.
- Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives involving cloud, platform modernization, APIs, integration platforms, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience influencing senior executives, technology leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders in complex organizations.
- At least 5 years of financial-services experience involving commercial lending, payments processing, treasury services, commercial deposits, liquidity management, or related banking platforms.
- Experience partnering with Product Managers and Product Owners on product-aligned architectures and technology strategies.
- Experience with cloud transformation, large-scale application modernization and migration, and enterprise container platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or Kubernetes.
- Experience evaluating or implementing AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions, including AI governance, Responsible AI, model lifecycle management, and enterprise AI architecture patterns.
- Strong executive communication, influence, negotiation, stakeholder management, and cross-organizational technology leadership skills.
