Responsibilities

Design, code, debug, test, monitor, and deploy performant Go backend services and connector plugins.
Design scalable components for database scraping and network protocol management involving routers, switches, and firewalls.
Break down product goals and ambiguous technical challenges into modular designs and execute with minimal oversight.
Participate in the global on-call rotation, troubleshoot complex incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and build remediation automation.
Identify technical debt, improve CI/CD pipelines and observability, and maintain technical documentation.
Mentor P2/P3 engineers through code reviews, Go best practices, and pairing.
Collaborate with global technical leads on design proposals, dependencies, and architectural alignment.

At least 7 years of software engineering experience, including 3 or more years building high-scale, cloud-native backend systems.
Demonstrated Staff-level ability to own large tasks end to end, influence team-level technical decisions, and elevate surrounding engineers.
Experience in Privileged Access Management, Identity and Access Management, or deep networking infrastructure, with familiarity with credential management, asset discovery, or agentless communication patterns.
Strong Go skills, or deep C++, Rust, or Java expertise with a proven ability to learn Go quickly.
Hands-on experience with SSH, Telnet, TCP/IP, database security, microservices, and asynchronous event-driven systems.
Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD automation, and telemetry or observability tools.
Strong communication, empathy, humility, knowledge-sharing, feedback-seeking, and engineering-culture skills.
Preferred experience includes work at security or PAM companies such as CyberArk or Delinea, Graph databases such as ArangoDB, policy engines such as OPA, open-source infrastructure contributions, or technical blogging.
