Lead Software Engineer - Terraform, Python, Kubernetes
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure, high-quality Python applications using AWS.
- Create architecture and design deliverables, lead reviews, and own end-to-end solution delivery.
- Integrate AI/ML solutions into complex domain-specific operations processing systems.
- Lead code reviews, design discussions, agile planning, and software selection evaluations.
- Partner with SRE, production monitoring, and existing systems teams to deliver reliable end-to-end solutions.
- Manage a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on and setting engineering standards.
- Drive adoption of authorized AI-assisted engineering and automation practices with consistent validation standards.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and technology events.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least five years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience developing, debugging, maintaining, and delivering production Python applications.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, version control, testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience working on AI/ML systems or collaborating with data scientists.
- Experience designing, building, and delivering maintainable and extensible production applications.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Preferred experience with cloud services, infrastructure as code, and containerized application development.
- Preferred familiarity with relational databases such as Postgres and AWS services including S3, EKS, SageMaker, and Bedrock.
- Preferred practical experience with Kubernetes, EKS, Docker, Kafka, MLOps, and LLMs.
