Responsibilities
- Design, implement, document, and architect features, interfaces, and subsystems.
- Develop modern Java EE and Spring Boot applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases and support system integration.
- Mentor developers on the team and across the broader developer community.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and business functions in a cross-functional Scrum team.
- Take ownership of software development lifecycle outcomes and product improvements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing modern Java EE and/or Spring Boot applications.
- Experience designing and working with APIs and developing microservices.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Postgres and MongoDB.
- In-depth knowledge of unit and integration testing with frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, TestNG, or Pact.
- Cloud experience with the AWS Serverless Stack, including services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions, is a plus.
- Knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Python is a plus.
- Experience with system integration is a plus.
- Experience working in a Scrum team and an Agile DevOps mindset.
- Strong initiative, ownership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
