Base Salary
$138k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and maintain production-ready C++ firmware and software for embedded Linux, bare-metal, and RTOS environments.
- Develop Python applications, CLI utilities, and automation scripts interfacing with embedded devices through Serial, USB, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Architect and implement communication interfaces such as standard APIs, Modbus, MQTT, and industry-specific protocols for telemetry, system states, and error logs.
- Develop self-diagnostic routines, non-volatile fault logging, and state-reporting mechanisms to support field troubleshooting and repair.
- Debug complex systemic issues across the hardware/software boundary using logic analyzers, multimeters, and physical debuggers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of embedded software development experience; real-time experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with C/C++ and Python.
- Strong hardware/software boundary debugging skills using logic analyzers, multimeters, and physical debuggers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
