Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java desktop applications for mass spectrometry instrument control.
  • Implement new features, improve existing functionality, and resolve software defects.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests for software quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern software engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with software developers, scientists, and engineers on instrument-control solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience developing Java desktop applications.
  • Experience developing, debugging, or testing software that interfaces with laboratory, industrial, or other physical devices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Experience with Eclipse RCP and Eclipse-based applications is preferred.
  • Experience developing scientific, industrial, or instrument-control software is preferred.
