Base Salary

$82k - $172k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, reproducible software using version control, modular design, automated testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices.
  • Design and implement secure cloud-based solutions using technologies such as Apache Airflow and Microsoft Purview.
  • Manage environment setup, version control, deployment, and CI/CD processes for data catalog and open innovation products.
  • Build and maintain integrations with enterprise systems through APIs, S3 ingestion endpoints, and database connectors.
  • Improve metadata management, asset ingestion, automation workflows, and platform usability in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Document technical requirements, user stories, and workflow specifications for data integrations and interfaces.
  • Mentor software engineers on design principles and help teams estimate, sequence, and prioritize work.

Requirements

  • Experience building scalable data-driven services, data ingestion pipelines, automation workflows, and high-reliability enterprise cloud solutions.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience solving complex problems and providing practical, feasible solutions in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to support platform customers, triage and resolve issues, enable self-service, and incorporate customer feedback.
  • Ability to collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, platform engineers, cybersecurity teams, and product stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile project management tools and the ability to design and document CI/CD solutions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NASA Public Trust background investigation.
  • Preferred experience includes supporting the NASA Web Services Operational Environment, enterprise data platform applications such as Microsoft Purview or Apache Airflow, federal government projects, and strategic guidance of software engineering teams.
