Base Salary
$118k - $168k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assist with solution, integration, physical, and high- and low-level architecture design.
- Prepare, review, and approve software requirements, specifications, design documents, entity relationship diagrams, and technical architecture documents.
- Lead and mentor developers on new software programs and applications.
- Provide project estimates and participate in project-level planning and project management.
- Code, unit test, analyze, debug, and troubleshoot software programs and cross-component technology issues.
- Recommend and implement software upgrades, development tools, coding guidelines, and process improvements.
- Conduct research on emerging application-development products, languages, and standards.
- Analyze software-tool data, generate programming-status statistics, and prepare reports for management and team members.
- Provide production support and assist with troubleshooting across multiple projects.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 8–11 years of relevant experience with highly developed professional and technical skills.
- Expert hands-on experience implementing detailed application designs through coding and unit testing using Java/JEE.
- Expertise with JEE web-services technologies, enterprise design, distributed and multithreaded systems, microservices, service-oriented architectures, and REST APIs.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks, test-driven development, performance testing, debugging, monitoring, and JVM tuning.
- Experience with Spring 5+, Hibernate 5+, Sencha, Java 11+, JavaScript, SQL, PL/SQL, messaging middleware, relational databases, development tools, and application servers.
- Experience with Hazelcast, Kafka, Docker, and BIRT Reporting.
- Knowledge of JEE, database structures, DDL/DML, Oracle stored procedures and user-defined functions, operating-system platforms, and enterprise application technologies.
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, interpersonal, analytical, collaborative, adaptable, and detail-oriented abilities.
- Ability to act as a hands-on leader, make decisions using technical expertise and established practices, and support multiple projects.
- Prior exposure to banking and capital-markets infrastructure, including financial messaging, treasury management, or payment processing, is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent relevant discipline.
