Responsibilities
- Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
- Design, write, review, and maintain code that follows coding standards and software engineering best practices.
- Explore and implement technical solutions that support product features, scalability, availability, performance, and fault tolerance.
- Participate in agile and Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, story creation, estimation, task creation, and sprint execution.
- Monitor technical work against project schedules, communicate blockers, and provide progress and issue updates to leads and stakeholders.
- Define system architectures and evaluate technical feasibility trade-offs for short-term execution and long-term capabilities.
- Mentor associate and intermediate software engineers and help develop their technical and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least five years of experience designing algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and scalable, highly available systems.
- At least five years of experience with one or more modern programming languages, including Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, or Informatica.
- Experience with at least two of React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services.
- At least five years of experience with web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON.
- At least five years of experience with general-purpose programming languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, C#, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go.
- At least five years of experience defining system architectures and evaluating technical feasibility trade-offs.
- Experience with Claude Code or Google Gemini is required.
- At least five years of experience translating design mockups, prototypes, and user stories into working applications is preferred.
- At least five years of experience producing fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable code is preferred.
- Seven years of experience working with technology systems, designing solutions, or developing healthcare applications is preferred.
- Experience with Scrum, professional software engineering practices, source control, build processes, testing, operations, and mentoring is expected.

- Pay range is $102,700.00–$164,600.00 annually, with geographic differentials potentially applicable.
