Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments and penetration tests across applications, networks, and infrastructure.
- Recommend corrective measures and validate remediation efforts to protect digital assets and support compliance.
- Embed security testing throughout the software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
- Develop and maintain security testing tools, methodologies, and industry-aligned practices.
- Analyze security incidents and produce reports covering their nature, impact, and scope.
- Provide actionable recommendations to reduce risk and prevent future incidents.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, review testing artifacts, and promote consistent testing practices.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, DevOps, IT, and risk stakeholders to identify security gaps and evaluate system designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in information security, IT audit, risk management, or a related field.
- Preferred master’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISA, GSEC, Security+, and GCIH.
- Knowledge of penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, security incident response, threat modeling, cyber threat intelligence, risk analysis, compliance, risk management, and reporting.
- 8+ years of related experience is also listed as a preferred qualification.
