Base Salary
$167k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build core parts of the query/compute engine.
- Evolve the compute API and semantic layer for better support.
- Unify and evolve the core data model for event and non-event data.
- Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of query execution.
- Collaborate with teams across various product areas to shape the compute layer.
- Take ownership of projects from design through rollout.
Requirements
- Strong backend or distributed-systems engineering experience.
- Experience with SQL, query planning/execution, or building APIs.
- Ability to reason about tradeoffs between flexibility, performance, and ease of use.
- Track record of owning ambiguous, cross-team projects end-to-end.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
