Responsibilities
- Design and operate a multi-region Azure application platform for high availability, resilience, and global scale.
- Manage Azure Kubernetes Service workloads along with Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, and Azure Front Door.
- Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines, reusable deployment templates, branching and release models, and zero-downtime deployment strategies.
- Define and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code and application configuration using Azure App Configuration and Key Vault.
- Design regional failover, monitoring, alerting, observability, incident root cause analysis, and recovery improvements.
- Create self-service templates, documentation, and golden paths while coaching engineering teams on deployment and cloud-native practices.
- Partner with infrastructure, software engineering, and leadership teams on platform alignment, cost management, right-sizing, lifecycle policies, and automation.
Requirements
- Experience designing and operating application platforms on Microsoft Azure, including multi-region architectures and AKS-based workloads.
- Experience building advanced CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitOps principles, automated testing, security gates, and approval workflows.
- Experience with Terraform for Azure infrastructure as code and with Azure App Configuration and Key Vault.
- Experience implementing serverless, event-driven, asynchronous messaging, API management, monitoring, and application reliability solutions.
- Ability to establish deployment standards, self-service capabilities, observability practices, and developer enablement patterns.
- Ability to optimize cloud platform performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
